CAPS is a
regional association of charterboat owners and operators formed in 1987,
representing individuals who charter in the State of Washington
on Puget Sound. Our membership includes marine charters who provide Salmon fishing,
Halibut fishing, Bottom fishing, Crabbing and other excursions for hire.
We are the premiere Association that represents fishing charter boat
interests on Puget Sound
. CAPS is a
non-profit organization consisting of Charterboat owners and operators,
who operate on Puget Sound ranging from Olympia
to Bellingham
and west to CAPS has
specific requirements to become a member 1.

Insurance This assures
anyone who goes on or recommends a CAPS member boat, that the boat and
Captain are legally licensed and insured. CAPS maintains a very active
involvement with the state legislature, Washington Department of fish
and Wildlife, Recreation Fishing groups and other agencies as necessary
for the further development of recreational fisheries. |
